What this is

FileShare lets two devices send files straight to each other through their browsers. The Direct plan is free. The Relay plan adds a fallback route through our TURN server for networks that block direct connections. It is run by Martin Nielsen, one person with one server, and these terms are the agreement between you and them.

Who can use it

Anyone can use the free plan. To buy Relay you need to be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian do it for you.

Best effort, honestly

We run this with care, but it is one server and one person. We do not promise uptime, and we cannot promise that any two devices will manage to connect: that depends on networks we do not control. The relay may be busy or down. Features may change or go away. If something breaks, we will do our best to fix it, and that is the whole promise.

Relay subscription

• Relay costs €1.99 per month, VAT included, billed by Stripe to the card you provide.
• It renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time from the Plans section on the front page; you keep Relay until the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing further is charged.
• Relay applies to the device you subscribed on, and to any device you log in on with the email you used at checkout, within fair use. The other device in a transfer never needs a subscription.
• Relay lives in a cookie on each device. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers or get a new device, use Log in on the front page: we email a link that puts Relay back on that device. If that does not work, email us and we will sort it out or cancel and refund the current month.
• Relay starts the moment you pay. By subscribing you agree to that and waive the 14-day right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital services in the EU.
• Cancel within 24 hours of any charge and we refund it in full at once. After that the started month is not refunded and Relay runs until the paid period expires. Details in the refund policy. If we ever have to shut the service down, you will not be charged for months you cannot use.
• If the price changes, we email you before it applies to you. If you do not like the new price, cancel before it does.

Fair use

The relay is shared with everyone else on the plan. Use it for what it is for: moving your own files between two devices. Unlawful content, abuse, or volume that harms other users can lead to termination without refund.

Liability

We are liable to you up to the amount you paid in the last month, and not for lost, corrupted or intercepted files beyond what the law requires. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under Danish or EU law.

Law and disputes

Danish law applies, and disputes go to the Danish courts. Talk to us first; most things are easier to sort out over email.
